Help Eddie March The Blue Devils!

Hi everyone!

My name is Eddie Morales, and I am a musician. If you know me more than just in passing, you know that music is a passion in my life that I've always held, and will always pursue. Part of this passion is the activity of Drum Corps - which, if you're unfamiliar, is essentially professional marching band. This activity is an incredible community with wonderful people that is solely focused on two things: education and performance. Drum Corps teaches and reinforces many essential skill sets outside of music such as time management, how to handle stress, social skills, and preparatory skills. However, what Drum Corps does best is teaching its students how to perform music at the highest level possible. I have learned an incredible amount from this activity that has propelled me to be able to teach at numerous high schools in my area, and find opportunities for myself that were not available to me before.

The only downside to the benefits I get out of Drum Corps is that it's very expensive. Nearly 200 people traveling across the country and spending time together causes unavoidable food and gas money, which is piling up more and more as the years go on. Just like club sports, tuition for Drum Corps pays to keep the organizations running as well as compensates the education team that is giving me and everyone around me incredible education. All of these things along with travel expenses to camps and materials I need to succeed add up to nearly $6,000.

Marching with the Blue Devils, the most decorated Drum Corps to date with a long and incredible history of excellence, is a wonderful gift that I want to take full advantage of. I am asking for help to pay my tuition so that I can gain valuable education, performing experience, and a new understanding of how music and motion work. All of this money will go towards my Blue Devils tuition fees, and none of it will be used for personal reasons outside of Drum Corps. I work multiple teaching jobs as well as a service job 5 days a week and am working hard to try to support this all on my own. Any help that is given is appreciated more than anything, as it makes my dreams much easier for me to realize.
