Help Eddie March Monarch!

Hey! My name is Eddie, I'm a 17 year-old tenor drummer from Austin, Texas. I've been gifted with the opportunity to march with Monarch Independent, a world class finalist WGI Percussion ensemble. I was originally skeptical about my ability to march for this winter season due to issues with financial obligations, but the staff at Monarch Independent were kind enough to look past that potential barrier and put their trust in me by offering me a contract for 2022. I want to honor their trust and effort by putting my all into this season - but the issue of financial obligations still remains.

The tuition for the 2022 Monarch Independent season is $1700 - quite a lot for a high schooler to earn on his own, especially considering the fact that I need to go to school every weekday for eight hours a day. Since the ensemble rehearses on weekends, that severely limits my ability to work and earn enough to pay for tuition. On top of that, I must pay for food and gas from Austin to Houston every weekend; about 160 miles one way. So, in addition to working in order to pay for this opportunity myself, I also need help in order to afford to march this winter.

Every penny that is donated to this cause will be put towards this amazing opportunity I've been given, a chance to learn and grow as both a performer and a person. At Monarch I will be exposed to education from the best instructors in Texas, who have experience in performing and teaching ensembles across the nation. This is an opportunity I am very blessed to have been given, and it means so much to me to receive aid in this. Everything helps, even if it's just a couple dollars.
