I am seeking donations to help raise money so that I and other scouts in less affluent countries can have the opportunity to go to the 2027 World Scout Jamboree.

The World Scout Jamboree is a time where scouts from countries all around the world come together for 2 weeks of life-changing experiences whilst creating many international friendships.

The aims of the 2027 jamboree include global development, peace, cultural understanding, adventure, fun and friendship which I think are particularly relevant in the world today at a time of much conflict and uncertainty.

As Scouts, we are all guided by our Scouting values which I strive to demonstrate day to day and whilst representing Cambridgeshire and the UK at the World Scout Jamboree. These Scouting values are:

Integrity - I act with integrity; I am honest, trustworthy and loyal.

Respect - I have self-respect and respect for others.

Care - I support others and take care of the world in which I live.

Belief - I explore my faiths, beliefs and attitudes.

Cooperation - I make a positive difference; I cooperate with others and make friends.

In order to attend the World Scout Jamboree, I currently need to raise around £3,500, which covers the costs not just for me but also for the scouts from other countries who may struggle to raise this money.

My initial fundraising plan includes baking, attending fairs and events, completing sponsored events and collaborating with local businesses and organisations. I know I need to work hard to raise all the money.
