Hello! Do you remember me? My name is Eddie London, and I was an RCA recording artist in the early 1990’s, but my manager decided to put all his emphasis on ‘Alabama’ which was an up and coming group instead of promoting my career. As a result, RCA dropped me and spent all their efforts on ‘Alabama.’ I can’t say that I blame them. ‘Alabama’ became a legend. While I am still happy for their success, my life spiraled down and I went through a really dark time. Unfortunately, my album was pulled and I made nothing on it. I still had to support myself and my daughter, which I raised alone. I did whatever I had to do to make a buck. I finally ended up driving a tour bus for many of the currently famous acts. I managed to pay the bills and take care of my baby girl, but it was very difficult for me to see first-hand what I missed out on.
My daughter is now in college and more beautiful and intelligent than I could ever imagine. We did okay until the pandemic hit and all the tours were canceled. Of course, my job was gone! It has been a tough couple of years for me. I lost my home and ended up living in an old RV that I managed to wrangle. I am 65 years old now, failing health, and not capable of working anymore. My RV is falling apart and not going to hold together much longer.
If any of you remember me and would like to donate to my cause, I would be eternally grateful. Never in my worst nightmare did I ever dream that I would end up in this position. Please share this with everyone you know because I am certain I still have some fans out there. Thank you and God Bless!
Sincerely, Eddie London
