Help Eddie and Vilma (Altadena Teacher) after Eaton-LA Fires
Donation protected
My parents have been residence of Altadena, CA for over 35 years. My mother is a local teacher of over 18 years, and my Stepfather is retired. They are now facing a completely unforeseen financial situation.
In the early 3am hour of January 8, 2025, they were faced with the unimaginable urgency to evacuate due to the approaching Eaton fire. They loaded the car with a wheelchair, walker, some clothes, and other necessities for my 93-year-old grandmother, then rushed away; leaving our home, all photo albums, all sentimental items, and all belongings behind. Later that day, we received news that our home burned to the ground.
While processing what has just happened, they are now trying to get back on their feet, and also create a safe space for my grandmother.
Your contributions will help them through this challenging time. We're seeking support to cover unexpected costs, and to get them back on their feet. These funds will assist with needs that are not covered by other sources of aid. Any donation of any size is immensely and forever appreciated. Thank you very much.
