Help Ed with his surgery

Hello Family and friends,

as most of you know, Ed and I are in Brazil to have this surgery done to remove his thyroid, it never would have been possible at home, or it would have been way too late. He has been dealing with this for over 2 years and not able to work full time because the US healthcare is a joke and doctors have been mis-diagnosing, and not really caring much because he had no insurance.

We had to come to Brazil to have this done. He had so many tests and exams to go through, and had to get his diabetes regulated before this could happen. With new medication and diet changes, his sugars are great and the doctors finally gave the go-ahead for the surgery. It is scheduled for March 27th, and we are so excited that his health is improving by the day.

These funds will be used for the balance of the hospital stay and new medications, as well as helping to change our flight, as we will have to stay 1 additional week. We were blessed to have been able to come here and have this done, and he is excited to get back to work finally when this is over. However, the expenses are a bit more than we were prepared for. We are asking for any help that you can offer. Every little bit helps so much.
