Help Ed Rebuild After Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
During Hurricane Helene, Ed Bellefond & his dog Theo were able to successfully evacuate to safety. But the house his family has had in Crumpler, NC on the North Fork of the New River for 40+ years did not fair as well. The flood waters reached unprecedented levels and both the basement and first floor flooded. Everything is a total loss. The house will be able to be fixed, but all belongings are ruined. It will take months to fix the damage and move back into the house.
We all know how long FEMA can take and insurance will not cover this catastrophe. Ed has nothing but his trusty backpack, a few changes of clothes, his dog, and truck. We're not even sure of what he needs now, but please donate so he can start cleanup. All donations will be used to replace his belongings and start the rebuild of the cabin. Any extra funds will be donated to other Ashe County individuals who lost everything during the flooding.
