Help Ed bounce back on his road to recovery
Donation protected
Family and Friends,
It’s never easy to ask for help, but we are reaching out to you on behalf of our brother Edward "Ed” "Eddie” As some of you already know, Ed and his 8 year old son Edward were in a pretty bad hit and run accident on February 18,2023 by 2 stolen vehicles that were racing. Little Edward is doing ok just very worried about his dad.
Unfortunately, Ed ended up back in the hospital due to swelling and his oxygen levels were extremely low. Everything they tried wasn’t helping, so the team at Meridian Park had no choice but to put Ed on a ventilator. Ed was put into a medically induced coma and that was so still not working so they had to medically paralyze him to get his body to completely relax. With Ed finally being hooked up to more machines then we care to list and all the medications they finally got him to hold steady at a oxygen level of 89. He held stable thru the night but with the ventilator doing a lot of the work. They are treating him for a blood clot in his lung. We hope and pray that this blood clot is the main reason for such low oxygen. If that’s not the main cause it’s back to the drawing board. We don’t know what Ed’s road to recovery looks like but we do know it’s not going to be an easy fast recovery.
The downside to all of this is Ed does not have medical insurance. He is his only source of income and is not able to work to support himself.
As many you know, Ed has always been there for all of us. He’s the first one to any function, and he’s also the one to lend a helping hand. Now it’s time for us to be there for Ed. We’re asking all friends and family if they can contribute anything to help cover the cost of recovery and medical bills as well as any prayers and positive thoughts for Ed and Edward. Anything you can give would be a real blessing.
Thank you,
