On March 8th, 2025, our dear friend and Seattle Imperial brother, Ed Bates, was riding his electric scooter near his home when he was attacked by a large dog while traveling at 20 mph. The attack resulted in him being thrown from the scooter, knocked unconscious (thank goodness he always wears a helmet), and suffering multiple broken bones. Ed awoke to the paramedics rescuing him and transporting him to the hospital. After a couple of surgeries and a week in the hospital, he is now at a rehab center getting extensive physical and occupational therapy. He will not be able to work for the next 6 months due to the extent of his injuries.

We have set up this GoFundMe for Ed to assist with his living expenses while he recovers and is able to return back to work.
