Help Echoes of Lore come to Life for Matthew & Anira
Donation protected
Imagine walking into a faire where legends and lore were at the heart. Where portals into myths brought folklore to life.
In the midst of the tragedy of 2020, Matthew and Anira were asked a number of times “when” (not “if”) they would start their own event and, although at that time they were appreciating their freedom from leadership, something magical began to stir in their hearts. They have often shared that they are not the people who fit well into any locked timeperiod, nor would they want to do anything to foster hard feelings with any other nearby events - so bringing their love of fantasy and historic lore into a faire sounded perfect! Welcome to Echoes of Lore!

The crux of the matter: Our team is working to launch the nonprofit “L.O.R.E.” or “Legends, Origins, & Realms Education” to host the first event, Echoes of Lore” in April 2026. The amazing feedback that has been coming in from both Faire-family and the public has been so excited and encouraging.
Between Anira’s communication major with a focus in nonprofit management (and successfully leading a number of organizations) and Matthew’s degree and management time in business, their cumulative 38 years involved with renaissance faires and 18 years cumulative director experience, they know how to get this done.
The catch is getting the actual nonprofit successfully launched. Our team has nothing to hide and we will start with that today. We have begun to meet with individuals with interest in the Board of Director positions as well as event leadership and need the following funds to launch the actual nonprofit so that we are capable of providing tax-deductible donations to community and regional businesses and philanthropic groups:
Government fees: $305
Mailbox: $100
Website: $250
Business Cards: $150
Opening bank account: $100
Printing costs for documents, Meetings, and contracts: $35
Board governance literature: $60
Intimately knowing the budgets of multiple renaissance faires helps us to know that this is a drop in the bucket compared to what people have given and we completely believe that the Faire-family can raise this easily if we bind together.
If you have time and talent you can potentially share, please reach out for that as well but we *need* these funds to be able to start moving forward towards the plan for next year. It takes time to meet with leaders, business owners and to write grant applications for start-up events and we won’t start only to fail - we will thrive.
THANK YOU to the Faire family who have already agreed to work at/with the Echoes of Lore Faire near Coeur d’Alene, Idaho in April 2026. This area is ripe for such an event and there is nothing else like it within hundreds of miles ♥️
