Nine months ago, I relocated to the greater Madison area from California to reunite with my teenage daughter, who just started her freshman year. As a single mom and a licensed esthetician with over 13 years of experience, I was grateful to find work at a local spa soon after arriving. It felt like things were finally falling into place after years of hardship, including losing my skincare studio to COVID and being separated from my daughter while I tried to rebuild.
In October, I began experiencing severe pain in my chest and right arm. I soon learned that a 30-year-old breast implant had ruptured, causing excruciating pain and making it impossible to continue working. Despite having Health Insurance, I was told my medically necessary surgery would not be covered. I have no family or friends nearby, and I am unable to qualify for unemployment. With no income, I am struggling to cover my rent and have no way to pay for the urgent surgery and recovery care I need.
The funds I am seeking will cover surgery, hospital fees, anesthesia, post-op care, a caretaker for one week, and one month’s rent while I recover. I am a Christian and live every day in gratitude, no matter my circumstances. My faith is my anchor, and I am humbly praying that this message will reach someone who can help. I would be deeply grateful for any support to help me receive this critical surgery. Thank you for reading, and may God Bless You all
