Hi, my name is Ebony L Destiny , and I’m in one of the hardest seasons of my life.
I’ve been overworked, underpaid, and doing everything I can to survive—mentally, emotionally, and financially. I work full-time in early childhood education, but my paycheck doesn’t even cover the basics. I’ve taken on side work, tried to sell my things, and leaned on my faith. But I’ve hit a breaking point.
Recently, my car was repossessed—the only vehicle I have to get to work, interviews, or even check on my storage units and apply for better opportunities. To make matters worse, $500 in emergency money my mom Western Unioned me has gone missing, and I don’t know if it was stolen or lost, but it’s gone.
My mother is on a fixed income, and she still stepped up to help me. I need to pay her back, fix my car, get insured, and cover past due expenses that are keeping me stuck.
⸻
Here’s what I’m raising funds for:
• $1,800 to get my repossessed car back
• $229 to resolve a collections balance with Progressive insurance
• $350 to bring my car note current and prevent another repossession
• $140 to pay the mechanic I owe (he’s been waiting 3 months)
• $158 + ~$200 to pay back overdue vehicle taxes
• $500 to repay my mom (who gave up her own necessities to help me)
• Registering fees, and emergency insurance reactivation
⸻
I’m not careless. I’m just exhausted, grieving, —and still showing up.
I need my car so I can:
• Keep my job and avoid homelessness
• Attend interviews for better-paying, stable roles
• Take control of my life again and leave behind unsafe relationships and environments
Right now, I don’t have a village. I don’t have backup. Just me, my mom, and my faith that someone out there might care enough to help me get out of this.
If you’ve ever had a season where you were fighting for your survival while the world kept going, you understand.
Every dollar helps. Every share helps.
Thank you for seeing me.
With love,
Ebony L Destiny
