Help Ebony Gibson and Family
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Veronica. I've set up this GoFundMe for my niece, Ebony Symone Gibson at the request of her mom, Lorie Dixon.
Ebony is a beautiful resilient and kind-hearted young woman who has endured so many health challenges in her life since the age of 12. She has faced these health challenges with courage, determination and great faith. Her positive spirit and unwavering faith, inspire's everyone around her. Ebony was diagnosed with Lupus, Renal Kidney Failure, Diabetes and Rheumatoid Arthritis and has faced all her health issues with so much strength. She puts God as the front runner in this race to recovery. Ebony is still fighting a long hard battle. She's been in and out of hospitals since being diagnosed. She is surviving with God's miraculously power and with the help of dialysis 3 times a week. These dialysis sessions last at least 4 hours a day. Ebony has now been on dialysis for over 9 years.
On Easter morning 2024, Ebony dialysis port in her leg burst open. She lost five pints of blood. She was airlifted to McLeod Florence Hospital where she spent five hours in surgery to repair the burst and put on life support. She has had six surgeries on her leg and one surgery in her chest since Easter. She is presently still in Intensive Care but has been taking off life support. She is doing better but because her dialysis port is not functioning properly now, she is in desperate need of a kidney at this point to save her life. To God be the Glory, a donor (Ebony's college friend) has come forward and is being screened to see if she is suitable for donating to Ebony.
We believe in God and we believe that there is hope and with everyone's help, Ebony will get her transplant soon.
As we know, there are expenses and cost associated with being a donor as well as with Ebony's mom basic living expenses. Lorie has been by her side every moment of her journey. She has taking leave from work to be by her daughter's side. She spend countless amount of hours at the hospital, traveling to and from day and night. We need your help so that Lorie can continue to be by her daughter's side and not worry about food, gas, living, and financial expenses during Ebony's critical time as well as help with expenses for the donor. We (Family) will have to make sure that the expenses of the donor is taking care of.
We are calling on friends, family, churches and kind-hearted individuals to come together and help us provide financial support to ensure Ebony's well-being and recovery.
Your donations, no matter how small, will make a significant difference in Ebony's life and the lives of her donor and family. Let's rally around them during this challenging time and show them that they are not alone in this fight.
