Help Eboni with Treatment & Recovery

Hi everyone,

My name is Maya Ritchey and I am creating a fundraiser for my lovely partner Eboni Fisher.

Eboni is an amazing woman filled with love. She is an activist, musician & actor. If you have been lucky enough to meet her you know that she is an extremely compassionate and special individual. Last year some indications of kidney damage and an autoimmune disorder showed up in her bloodwork. Since then she has been desperately trying to get the help that she needs.

Not getting the care she needs has led her to be hospitalized twice within the past month and over 10 times within the year. She has been rejected by rhumetologists, doctors & other health care workers. Last night in the ER was the most traumatic thing to happen to her thus far. Many things happened in the ER that led Eboni and myself to feel extremely unsafe including; a non consensual pregnancy test, and an attempt to put in a catheter when not needed.

Eboni is suspected to have Ehlers Danlos, endometriosis, POTS & lupus. All of the above suspected conditions have been brought up on multiple occasions by her General Practitioner, Rheumatologist, and ER Doctors. Eboni has waited for over a year to be seen by various specialists and is still waiting for care.

Due to her untreated ‘Ehlers Danlos’ she currently has a dislocated shoulder that is in recovery and last night her hip dislocated. Eboni is now unable to use her right arm or leg making her unable to go to the washroom, eat or drink on her own. She is immobile & is suspected to be immobilized for a month at the very least. This has not only affected Eboni physically but also mentally. Her life has changed immensely in the past year and she now needs additional support from her household caretaker (myself).

We are asking for funds to help support Eboni through her recovery and ongoing treatment. Funds will go to her medical supplies, mobility devices, healthcare services and additional expenses due to her inability to work. The main goal with this fundraiser is to create the most comfortable recovery and treatment for Eboni. ❤️‍
