Help EB Prepare Her New Home

EB suffered a life-changing injury in 2014 when diving into a swimming pool, hitting the bottom and immediately becoming quadriplegic, with no use of her legs and very limited use of her arms. At that time, accommodations were made in an apartment building and eventually she was able to live independently with the help of caregivers that come morning and night as well as a personal assistant who must be available to run errands, feed her, etc. As you can imagine, this has come with a great expense to her and her family who have helped to support her. But it became her home and a place where she felt truly comfortable.

Recently, she found out that she would have to leave her apartment. And so the decision was made to purchase a home that she could enjoy for the long term. With the support of her family, an amazing home was found. But once again, this has come with great expense. Adapting it for EB's needs includes:

There was hope that the state of Colorado would be able to help more but at this time this is all falling on the family.

I'm reaching out with the hope that you can help. This would only scratch the surface but I know it would mean a lot to EB so that she (and her service dog Shadow) can look forward to and enjoy her new home.
