Help Eastynn Get the Surgery She Needs

Our sweet daughter, Eastynn, just turned two, but unfortunately, she’s starting the new year facing surgery. Over the past six months, she has had four severe double ear infections. Every time, both of her ears were affected, which left us concerned about the frequency and severity of these infections.

Malik and I have been advocating for a referral to see an ENT specialist, hoping for answers to the ongoing issues with her ears. After two years of asking for help, we finally received a referral on her birthday. When we saw the specialist, we learned that Eastynn needs tubes in her ears—a procedure that's common for many children. However, Eastynn’s case is unique and more complicated.

Her ear canals are underdeveloped and very narrow for her size, which causes fluid to build up and leads to frequent infections. On top of that, she has already experienced hearing loss, which is why her surgery is so urgent. Her surgeon believes that if we move quickly, there’s a chance her hearing loss can be reversed.

While ear tube surgery is often routine, for Eastynn, it’s the beginning of a much longer journey. The surgery itself is just the first step toward helping restore her hearing, and we are hopeful, with lots of prayers, that this will help her regain her hearing permanently.

Due to the suddenness and urgency of the situation, we don’t have the time to save up for the costs of the surgery. As her parents, Malik and I would do anything to help her, and we’re reaching out to our community for support. Any donation, no matter the size, will help cover the expenses and allow us to focus on Eastynn’s recovery.
