Help Eastern TN Hurricane Victims
Donation protected
Hartford, Tennessee holds a special place in our hearts. It’s where Rick and I stayed and worked while raft guiding, a town that gave us unforgettable memories and a sense of community that we’ll always cherish. Seeing the devastation caused by the recent floods has been heartbreaking for us, and we can’t sit back and do nothing.
With that being said, we are renting a U-Haul and driving down this Saturday to Hartford or Newport, TN, to personally deliver supplies to the people who need them most. We want to help them begin to rebuild their lives, and we’re asking for your help to do it.
If you can, we’re collecting the following items that local families have specifically requested:
• Water (bottles or jugs)
• Pet food
• Hygiene items
• Trash bags
• Charging cords
• Cleaning supplies
• Toilet paper
• Baby products (diapers, wipes, formula)
• Clothing
• Blankets
• Non-perishable food
• Rakes, shovels, and hammers
• Stamps and envelopes for emergency food stamp forms
We’ll be at the following locations to gather donations:
• Thursday, October 3rd: Southwest Family YMCA, 1:00-6:00pm
• Friday, October 4th: Southeast Family YMCA, 1:00-6:00pm
• Saturday, October 5th: Frankfort Walmart, 8:30-10:00am
If you can’t physically bring donations, we’ve set up a GoFundMe where you can contribute, and we’ll purchase whatever is still needed. Every donation, big or small, makes a difference. It’s a way to give back to a place that means so much to us and to help those who are struggling right now.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for considering being part of this. Together, we can make a real impact in the lives of people who need it.
