Help Ease Virgil's Journey to Recovery

Donation protected
Most of you know that I am usually the one that is a medical mess. I still am, but now we have a new problem. Virgil went in for a routine colonoscopy. The Dr said that there were only 3 polyps and he didn't think there was a problem. But one came back as cancerous. Virgil was diagnosed with Colo-rectal cancer. He's had many tests and a CT scan showed a lymphnode was questionable. Yesterday Virgil had major surgery to remove part of the rectum and the lymphnodes. He thought he was going home after surgery. In all honesty, they didn't say anything about how hard it was going to be or how long he would be staying. Mentally, he was not prepared for this, at all.His surgery was supposed to be 3 hours, but it turned into a difficult 6.5 hours!
Right now we do not have any income. He was laid off in October and they apparently only cover 26 weeks! Now with all the medical stuff happening, he has been put on disability. But who knows when that will actually kick in. We already live paycheck to paycheck and now there isn't one. I want to be able to take care of some things so he won't worry and focus on healing. I know everyone is tight on money these days and all of you were so generous at Christmas by buying my goodies. I feel bad for asking, but I don't know what else to do.
On a good note, the Dr thinks he will be cancer free after this surgery, but who knows, we have terrible luck!
Thank you for taking the time to read this!
