Weeks before his wedding, at 27 years old, Thomas went to the ER with extreme abdominal pain. While having his appendix removed, doctors found a tumor on his pancreas. A biopsy found it to be a low grade malignant tumor. Thomas and his fiancé (now wife), Annie, made the difficult decision to delay their wedding reception, and moved their ceremony earlier than planned to take place before the surgery. Thomas underwent surgery in Boston to remove a portion of his pancreas and his spleen. While the surgery was successful, Thomas has a long recovery ahead of him. He only recently returned home after spending over two weeks at Mass General in Boston.

As Thomas and Annie are beginning their married life, we would love to help lessen the financial burden this has had on them.
