Hi, my name is Janie and I'm fundraising for Theresa and Robert Poole.

In February, Robert was hospitalized with what would turn out to be stage 4 cancer. It has been a long and trying time since then. Regardless of the treatments, he continues to suffer, and his health continues to decline. He has been unable to work, and Theresa has taken on the role of caregiver. Meanwhile, the bills, medical and otherwise, are an unneeded stress during this trying time.

Robert has been very involved in the community for many years. He has been active in OLM and St. Patrick church. He has coached two generations of Merced City Baseball and Softball. Robert is the kindest man you will ever meet. He has always put others before himself. Please consider helping the most loving and kind man we know.

Theresa was a constant in our children’s OLM school lives. She taught kindergarten and second grade over 9 years. Then with her role as librarian, she introduced our children to literature and reading, powerful tools that would help them with language skills, learn about the world, develop empathy, and increase their emotional awareness. She has also been an active member of St Patricks. I hope that we can help give back to Theresa and her family as she did for our lives.
