In April, my mother was diagnosed with stage 2A breast cancer, with a 29% chance of recurrence in 10 years, that has already progressed into one lymph node. She underwent a double partial mastectomy with sentinel lymph node removal on May 21, 2024. This fundraiser is for medication and gas expenses to receive treatment as follows:

Port placement on July 1, 2024,

Begin 2 months of the Red Devil chemo treatment on July 9, 2024,

Begin 2 months of Taxol chemo on September 3, 2024,

Begin 5 weeks of radiation around October - November 2024,

Then finally beginning Tamoxifen or some hormone therapy for 5 years increments at the end of 2024.

These treatments are located an hour and 15 minutes away from our small town of Sandersville, GA and will cause extreme strain on an already financially strapped couple, living off of disability income.

Estimated $1000 is needed in gas alone, not including medical copays, supplements, infrared treatments, prescriptions, and assistance with groceries, possibly a wig in the future.

As her daughter, I will do everything I can to help her financially, but with being part-time employed and raising twin daughters, there is an obvious need for additional help! I can only do so much to drive her to appointments and care for her in this difficult time! Update: After a year of being breast cancer free, we discovered on December 31st 2025 that my mom’s cancer has returned. She now has stage 4 Metastatic breast cancer In her sternum, shoulder joint, lymph nodes, and breast. They will pursue 10 rounds of radiation, and a chemo pill for palliative care. We will face this journey with faith that the lord has enough power to see us through this and even cure this if it’s in his will.
