Help for Steven Legay and family

Hi everyone, we are The Cafe at Maidens and we are coming to you in support of one of our own today. On Monday night, we learned that tragedy had struck the Legay family and that 15-year-old Steven Legay is now in the hospital fighting for his life. The details are not ours to share, but the heartbreak has been felt throughout the community and by the many, many people who know and love Steven. Steven is so many things to so many people: a beloved son and grandson, a favorite among his teachers at Powhatan High School and a supremely talented kayaker. He's also been part of our Maidens family since before he could see over the counter or order his own grilled cheese. We love him, and we, like his family, are shattered but hoping for a miracle. The next few days, weeks and months will be no doubt be unfathomably difficult for Steven's family, and we are hoping to help raise whatever we can to defray the considerable financial burden the family will face.
