My stepfather, Boris, has been bravely battling Susac syndrome, a rare and devastating autoimmune disease, and is reaching the end. This illness has taken an enormous toll on him and on everyone who loves him. Through it all, Boris has shown incredible strength, courage, and grace, even as his health continued to decline.

I am raising money to help my dad, Christopher, with the overwhelming financial burden that comes with this loss. Between everyday bills and now the expenses for funeral services and arrangements, the weight is more than any one person should have to carry alone especially while grieving.

Christopher has done everything he can to support and care for Boris during this journey. Now, my hope is to ease even a small part of that burden so he can focus on healing and honoring Boris’s life, rather than worrying about finances.
