Hi my name is Melanie and this is my mum Heather and her future husband Bobbie. We’re reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for support for my mum and her husband, Bobbie, during an incredibly difficult time.

Since December 2025, Mum has been in and out of hospital, facing ongoing health challenges that have now led to major open-heart surgery—a double bypass. Sadly, her recovery has not been straightforward. She has experienced serious complications, including a collapsed lung and fluid on her lungs, and has been readmitted to hospital twice since the surgery.

Because of this, life has changed dramatically for both Mum and Bobbie. They are both self-employed, but with Mum unable to work and Bobbie stepping into the role of full-time carer, their income has been heavily impacted. Bobbie has had to put work aside to care for Mum, ensuring she gets through each day safely as she continues her recovery.

We are now asking for help to ease the financial pressure they are facing. Contributions will go toward essential household expenses, including their mortgage, medical bills, and the rehabilitation Mum needs to regain her strength and independence.

This has been an overwhelming journey, and our hope is to relieve some of the stress so Mum can focus fully on healing, and Bobbie can continue supporting her without the added burden of financial strain.
