My name is Alaine and I am hoping to raise funds for the Adams-Dunbar family.

Hello everyone,

During this difficult time, the Adams-Dunbar family is facing an incredible challenge as

Mark and Sunny have courageously battled Mark’s health issues related to

Spinocerebellar Ataxia (SCA) over the last 12 years. This rare disease is inherited and

progressive. Mark now 49, was diagnosed one year after his daughter, Grace, was

born. Ataxia has progressively robbed the family of a fun loving, hardworking, energetic

husband, father and breadwinner.

While there is NO cure for this unforgiving disease, Mark and Sunny are determined to

keep the life they have built for themselves and their two daughters, Bailey and Gracie.

The unforgiving neurodegenerative disorder causes the loss of full control of bodily

movements like balance, fine motor control and muscle coordination. In Mark’s 12th

year of living with this disorder, their income has been cut in half as they face mounting

medical bills, the costs raising two children and everyday living expenses on Sunny’s

income alone.

As they face this unimaginable challenge the emotional toll is only compounded by the

financial stress and worry of facing foreclosure.
