Help Ease the Burden for Malaika's Family

Malaika was a devoted daughter and beloved friend. She had a million-watt smile and lit up every space she was in. She went out of her way to make everyone she encountered feel special. She made fast friends and she always had the right words to lift you up and make others smile even while she suffered. We are seeking to raise funds to cover the cost of our sweet love's cremation and to help cover other expenses for her parents, including the loss of her income for the household.

Laik was an amazing daughter. She would never want to leave them at loose ends. She had dedicated herself to caring for them, and they for her. She would not want them to bear any burden in her name. Help us alleviate their worries and give them space to grieve, heal, and plan how to move forward without their precious angel.

All funds raised will go to Malaika's mom Kathy, who in true Leo fashion has been making arrangements from her bed in a skilled nursing center.

Malaika was the Queen of Halloween. In honor of this, her friends are planning a celebration for her tentatively set for October 19th in North Portland.
