Thank you so much to everyone who has donated, shared, prayed, and supported her and her family during this unimaginable time.

We have been incredibly fortunate to have her consent to share her name and her photos with the community. As you can see, she is a radiant young woman who was just beginning her young adult life.

Since the shooting, she has undergone numerous surgeries, and through all of this, she continues to show incredible strength. Her own words say it best:

"I am alive."

Dear community,

On September 10th, at around 8:00 a.m., a horrific tragedy took place in a family home while several family members were present. Two people lost their lives, and two others were critically injured.

We are raising funds to support one of the victims who was airlifted to Atrium’s CMC Main ICU and remains unconscious. Out of respect for their privacy and because they are currently unable to give consent, we cannot share their identity or the full details of what happened at this time.

What we do know is that this person has ongoing financial responsibilities, including a car payment, and may also face significant medical expenses as they begin their recovery. We are asking our community to come together and help ease some of this financial burden during an incredibly difficult time.

Once the victim is able to give consent, we will share more information about their story and situation.

The victim has been apart of the Henson family for five years and we have had the privilege of watching them grow into an incredible person. We share weekly dinners, have traveled together, and have created many wonderful memories.

We have created this fundraiser because we care deeply about them and their family, and we are simply trying to find a way to help during this incredibly difficult time.
