Help Ease Tarot's Journey and Legacy

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Danielle and I'm raising funds for my child, Tarot, who has Stage IV Uterine Sarcoma. We are at the point in my beautiful child's young life where we must prepare for what no parent ever wants and that is to bury their child. Tarot is 26 and their only wish is to make it to 27 and with that only being a few short weeks away we don't know if it will be a realized dream. Tarot is a gifted artist, a gamer, a devoted friend and loved by their family. Tarot has always had this light about them that draws people to them and even as this cancer has spread through their body they still have that light. I love watching their interactions with others and that is something I will miss the most.

Tarot's journey with cancer started September 2023 when they went to the ER for severe abdominal pain and they were told they had 2 small Uterine fibroids and were referred to an OBGYN. The OBGYN scheduled them for emergency surgery and on Oct 2023 an 18cm tumor was removed and sent for testing, still working under the notion that this was a benign fibroid tumor. On November 9, 2023 the OBGYN told Tarot they had cancer and needed to see an oncologist. There were complications after the 1st surgery and they were in the hospital when the oncologist told them they had Uterine Sarcoma and would need immediate surgery to remove the cancer which had now spread throughout the uterus and they would need a full hysterectomy. The surgery December 18th removed all visible tumors and they were recovering. In January 2024 we went to Dana-Farber for a 2nd opinion and were told wait and monitor, nothing else could really be done. On March 18, 2024 Tarot went for their follow up scan to find the cancer had returned and spread throughout the torso. They began aggressive chemo therapy immediately which was too much for their body and Tarot spent a week in the hospital getting blood transfusions and lots of medicines. They tried one more less aggressive form of chemo this past week and within in a few days they were back in the hospital and on oxygen. We come to today where I write this and we had the talk with the oncologist and Tarot where the decision was made to hold chemo as their body can no longer handle it and their advanced directive changed to DNR.

With hospice on the horizon, no life insurance and this already difficult situation lingering we are asking for assistance to lessen the financial burden of funeral expenses.

Any proceeds remaining after funeral expenses have been paid will go to remaining medical bills and donated to cancer research. I will update with how funds were dispersed.

Thank you in advance for your support.
