Support Sokka’s End-of-Life Care

I want to express my gratitude for anyone who has helped previously with his medical care costs.

Sokka has been my best friend alongside his sister, Katara, for the past 9 years. He’s been my cuddle buddy, the most stubborn and mischievous cat ever, and we’ve been through so many chapters of life.

Recently, he was diagnosed with kidney disease, and his health has rapidly declined over the past couple of weeks. I am devastated to say the least and in need of help with his upcoming vet expenses and in preparation for his end-of-life care when the time comes.

He is now drooling blood, crying in pain, and struggling to rest and eat, and I’m trying my best to do everything I can to keep him comfortable and loved.

This fundraiser will help me:

• Cover urgent veterinary care and pain management

• Provide comfort treatments and supportive care to give him quality time

• Prepare for his end-of-life expenses and private cremation when it’s time for him to pass.

I want Sokka’s final chapter to be filled with love, safety, and comfort, not suffering.

Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is one of the most common illnesses in older cats, affecting nearly 1 in 3 cats over 10 years old, and sometimes younger as in Sokka’s case. The kidneys can no longer properly filter toxins from the blood, which leads to:

• Nausea and loss of appetite

• Excessive drooling or ulcers in the mouth

• Weakness and weight loss

• Pain and lethargy in later stages

There is no cure, but supportive care can help manage symptoms and keep cats comfortable for as long as possible. In Sokka’s case, his kidney disease has progressed rapidly, and he is now in pain and struggling to eat or rest without discomfort.
