Help Ease Shana's Cancer Journey

*Update, unfortunately on 06/02/2024 Shana lost her long battle with cancer. I never met a stronger willed woman than her. She fought with dignity and pride. You have left your mark on this earth . Rest in peace.

This fund will be used for her son, Nathan and any help with arrangements.

Hi everyone I started this page for a close friend Shana who has been a nurse and locally traveling here in SC for some time.

Shana is an amazing nurse and even better person. Shana has been going through cancer treatments and out of work for some time. I wanted to start a fundraiser for her and her family.

Shana was originally diagnosed with breast cancer in early 2021 then after beating she was diagnosed again with breast cancer in early 2023. Shana opted to have a complete mastectomy after her second diagnosis. Unfortunately in later 2023 it was discovered Shana had stage IV cancer. Even after the complete mastectomy and treatments the cancer spread to her brain.

Shana went back home to Pittsburgh for Gamma radiation therapy and treatments. After her first Gamma results were looking promising and she had surgery to remove the larger lesions. However the lesions would return and she went to MUSC to try Gamma radiation again. Shortly after it was discovered that the cancer spread to her lungs, bones, and spine.

Shana is a phenomenal person with a personality and dry sense of humor can make a room laugh. She loves the beach and having a few high noons while just hanging out with good friends.

If anyone who wants to donate to help alleviate any stress she may be feeling it would be appreciated. Knowing Shana she will kill me for posting this because she’s so strong and never would ask for anything.
