Help Ease Scott and Carla's Journey Through Cancer

Hi everyone, Scott is back in the hospital, still fighting this very serious illness. Because of this, finances have taken a major hit. I've significantly increased the goal to help ease Scott and Carla's minds and anxiety for the foreseeable future, so they can focus on healing and recovering. I'm hoping that many of the people Scott has helped over the years will see this as a great opportunity to give back to someone who has given so much for so long. Big shout out to Nancy Mac for boosting this post and asking me to increase the target amount. Scott has done so much for our community for so long. He's one of the inspirational people in my life.

I personally met him in 1978. He was there the day I turned 21 and the first person I told that I was going to be a grandma. This photo (in the orange shirt) was him reading at my daughter's wedding. The one I posted previously was with my son. To say he's been a part of my life is a gross understatement. He's been a dear friend and inspiration for 45 years. My mom used to call him "that brat who sat in the corner and moped" back in the late 70's. She was thrilled to see him again, 40 years later, still at the ship.

Scott often talks about the tapestry of our lives. Well for me, he's been a thread all the way through it since I was 20 years old. Now he and Carla are having a really rough time and it's time for those of us who feel like I do, who have experienced Scott's wisdom and grace throughout the years (yes, partly tongue in cheek), to step up and show the love.
