Help Ease Sarah’s Journey Through Cancer Recovery

Hi Everyone, as many of you know, our dear friend Sarah Bailey was diagnosed with Breast Cancer a few months ago and has been going through rounds of Chemotherapy. Thankfully, her body has responded well to chemo, but the treatments have greatly impacted her health and restricted her from being able to work her normal schedule as a freelance hair stylist. Sarah has continued to fight cancer and work as much as she physically can, without any government aid.   

She will still need to have surgery in May to ensure the cancer is fully removed. This is a major surgery that will require extended leave from work. Being self-employed, Sarah will not have any income during this time. We put this together hoping we can help relieve some of the stress of the financial burdens and give her time to heal and recover.  

Sarah was diagnosed with Stage 2 Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Breast Cancer in early December. She tested positive for the BRCA2 Cancer gene which puts her at a high risk for Ovarian Cancer and elevated risk for other cancers. She has undergone 8 rounds of intensive Chemotherapy, and will soon be receiving rounds of Radiation. Sarah will be undergoing a Double Mastectomy and Reconstruction Surgery along with Hormone therapy and Removal of her ovaries and fallopian tubes. 

The surgeries are scheduled and she will begin this next chapter in her fight against cancer on May 28th. 

 We want to thank everyone who contributed back in February so Sarah could purchase a wig and regain some normalcy as chemo caused her to lose all of her hair.
