That moment when you can't heckin' breathe proper.
I've got a deviated septum so bad that the doctor could not even get the camera in to look. It has been giving me breathing complications that only get worse every year, but I've been putting it off because it is a difficult surgery to recover from and not something I'm exactly looking forward to, despite being a masochist, haha.
But the main reason I've been putting it off, is that recovery takes a few weeks, and I obviously would not be able to work while my body puts itself back together - as a self-employed performing artist, I don't have any sort of overtime/medical leave/etc. to take advantage of and make sure my bills get paid. After all, my slumlord still wants money regardless if I make it or not.
Raising these funds would help ensure that my month's rent, utilities, groceries, insurance, etc. would be covered while I'm lying bruised and battered in bed. The surgery itself should be entirely taken care of with Medi-Cal, so thankfully I don't need to pay for that out of pocket along with these necessities.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, whether that be monetary donations, social media sharing, verbal/textual support, physical assistance, whatever you can spare! I really love what I do and it will already be a bummer to not be on the stage or out in nature, so anything helps, really.
Thank you!
