Help Ease My Mother's Pain

Hello, I am Ashley and I'm Gail's youngest daughter.

My mom, Gail, has been struggling for quite some time with debilitating aches and pains. Several appointments and visits to all kinds of doctors through the years. Medications, physical therapies, lifestyle changes, etc. Sometimes it was hard to get a doctor to even treat her. Recently she took a few trips to urgent care and the ER where she was treated like a pill chaser. Her last and most current visit - she made sure to take an ambulance in hopes that she would get the care she so desperately deserved and needed.

Her prayers were answered. Some tests and scans came back to show that it was Cancer and it had spread through her body, into her spine, as well as causing a lumbar fracture. A few days later and another test showed that it started in her Pancreas. No wonder she has been in so much pain and barely able to care for herself and pets. She is in a state now where it is very difficult to move - like a paralysis. They have her comfortable with medication but keep having to adjust with her pain levels. To be frank, she is miserable and scared.

There will be more discussions today. Possibly testing. My mom mentioned radiation being started ASAP. I will need to speak with her and the doctors to gather what the treatment plan will be and what her odds are at beating this.

Gail Darlene Grantham (Turner) is a Mother to three. She has two fur babies and a little apartment in West Palm Beach. Her life has not been an easy one and it saddens me that she has been going through this struggle alone. I'm in Maryland and she is in Florida. I made this fundraiser in hopes that some folks may see this and realize how important it is to for me to be with her, make sure she is comfortable, and provide anything I can to make sure she knows she is loved and cared for.
