Thank you all for the donations so far, it has helped with the costs of gas, food and travel in the midst of all the chaos and healing.
Update 10/11
Larry is now in the step down unit, he is awake, alert and is still in a lot of pain. He does have a nerve block and other medications which are helping, his scabs are starting to heal causing itching. Chest tubes were removed from his right lung after a wet seal procedure but the left chest tube is still present for more healing. His oxygen is now night time need only. Larry still has a long road ahead of him but is making progress.
Rayleen is still healing as well and is feeling all the effects from the accident, she is sore with accompanying dizziness but is still by Larry’s side consistently.

Update as of 10/08
Thank you all for your donations so far!
Larry is now extubated and awake, with a pain block catheter. He was able to tell his family he loves them. His surgery on 10/06 was successful to his collarbone and he tolerated it well. He still has a long long road to recovery. Rayleens adrenaline finally wore off and she is extremely sore and bruised/swollen. She has clumps of hair falling out from her bun being ripped out during the accident. Please continue to show your support for them. ❤️
With Rayleen's permission:
Hello, my name is Kelsey Andrus.
I am Rayleen and Larry’s niece.
On October 5th, 2024, Larry and Rayleen were involved in a terrible accident involving their side-by-side, causing multiple injuries. Rayleen was injured and is healing. Although alert, Larry was severely injured with multiple fractures throughout his body and in tremendous pain. After being taken to Geneva ER, he was immediately taken by life flight to a bigger hospital where things took a turn. He is currently in the ICU. Although he was awake, his injuries were so severe that the pain and pneumothorax affected his breathing heavily. Despite life saving medications, Larry had to be and is currently ventilated and sedated. He required surgery on 10/06 with possibly more in the future. Not only will this be a long recovery for him physically, but the mental load of possible months in the hospital will be a huge expense to their household. Larry is the main income and caretaker of the family. Rayleen has not left his side despite being injured herself. The price of their medical stay will be astronomical, as well as gas and food, along with their daily living expenses and utilities.
Larry and Rayleen are always the first to help in any situation for not only friends and family but everyone in the community. Let’s show them how much we care and love them and try to lighten up the recovery process.
100% of funds will go to Larry and Rayleen directly. The goal can always be increased!
I will post updates about their condition on here periodically.
