My name is Vanessa and Kelly is one of my nearest and dearest friends since high school. Many of you know Kelly, but what many of you don't know is that Kelly has been battling Stage 4 Kidney Cancer for a year and half now. Kelly was diagnosed with Clear cell right renal carcinoma in December 2022. She has been through multiple hospital admissions, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and MANY complications along the way. Every day is a battle, but she still manages to get up and go work to provide for her family with a smile and grace and the best attitude. In the next few weeks Kelly will be taking the next step in her treatment and they will be removing her kidney on July 18th right after her 40th birthday. Although she has been told this will not change her life expectancy it will help alleviate some of her pain. This will leave Kelly out of work for a minimum of 4 months. As we all know at this time with the rising costs of everything from groceries to gas, to rent, and utilities this is a major finical burden to her as it would be to anyone. Kelly has been there for me and my family more times than I can count, and I know she has been there for a lot of other people. She would literally give anyone the shirt off her back if they needed it. I'm hoping we can all come together for her at her time of need as she has for a lot of us at ours. If you're not able to donate please pass along positive vibes, prayers, and just let her know you are thinking of her. This is a very stressful and scary time for her as this is a big surgery.
