On January 23rd of this year, Kathy was diagnosed with colorectal cancer that has spread to the lymph nodes. Her last day of work was February 28th. Since then, she has relied on PTO and donated time from other employees, but that has run out.
Kathy is the most caring, kindhearted, and generous person I know. Anyone who knows her knows they are loved by her. She is a loving mother and an involved, adoring grandmother who always puts others first. She is always concerned not about herself but for the well-being of anyone around her.
Kathy is still unable to return to work, but her bills, of course, haven't stopped. She did not want to rely on anyone else to help as she has never asked for help from anyone. I do not want her to have to stress about how she is going to pay her bills when she should be focusing on getting better. If you are able to help Kathy in any way while she fights this, it will help free her from the added financial stress and burden and allow her to focus solely on her health and fight to win this battle.
