Funeral costs and Living expenses for JR’s family
Donation protected
I’ve started this to try and take some financial stress off of my dad and stepmom following dads hospitalization. Medical bills and unexpectedly going from two incomes to one just adds to the stress of the situation. If you can’t donate, feel free to share the link and keep sending prayers their way. Dad is finally home but still has a way to go before he’s fully recovered.
Many have referred to him as “The Voice of the Bulldogs” and his voice carries for miles during every Varsity Football game at Murphy High School. He is an icon to many and loudly cheers on his favorite team every single year. For over 40 years he has been the echoing voice of “first and ten Bulldogs!” and we want him to fully recover so this tradition can continue.
As many of you may know, the Sunday before Thanksgiving my dad (J.R. Carroll) went into cardiac arrest while eating lunch at a restaurant in Chattanooga. My little brother Ray (or Tweety as many of you call him) started CPR on him fast enough that there was no brain damage. However after being transported to Erlanger Baroness in Chattanooga, dad spent nearly 3 weeks in the hospital, 2 of those in the ICU in critical condition. Overall he coded 5-6 times before they managed to implant a pacemaker/defibrillator and then began his road to recovery.
They have went from two incomes to one. I know they are stressed even if they won’t admit it. Sandy (my stepmom) is working hard to ensure he is taken care of at home and try and pay bills on her own. I started this GoFundMe to hopefully take a little bit of a financial burden off of them until dad can be fully back on his feet and to his old self again.
