On October 19, 2025, Sunday evening, my younger brother came home from work and found our mother unresponsive in bed. Upon arrival, the paramedics pronounced our mother deceased.

Since 2019 our mother has been on dialysis due to type 2 diabetes mellitus with diabetic chronic kidney disease.

Within the last 6 months, she was hospitalized for anemia and hyperkalemia. After an endoscopy procedure it was found she had multiple ulcers in her stomach that caused internal bleeding. The bleeding was resolved however treatment for the ulcers was ongoing.
