Hello, friends. Diana and Jenn could really use our support right now. Their beloved cat, Dorian, has been experiencing recurring urinary tract blockages that have led to multiple emergency vet visits resulting in surgical intervention, and ongoing, unexpected medical care.
Back in November 2025, Dorian had his first blockage and underwent a cystotomy to remove the stones causing it. He recovered well and was doing fine for about five months. But on March 18th, he began showing signs of another blockage. He was taken to the vet, treated, and sent home, only to reblock that same night, requiring immediate hospitalization.
Since then, things have progressed quickly. Their local vet initially warned that Dorian might need a complex liver surgery (a portosystemic shunt), with one estimate reaching $13,000. Wanting to explore other options, Diana and Jenn brought him to the University of Florida Small Animal Hospital on March 20th.
At UF, the veterinary team is still working to determine the underlying cause of Dorian’s recurring blockages. He has remained hospitalized since Friday, receiving pain management and catheterization to keep him stable. His weekend hospital stay alone is estimated between $4,000–$6,000, with a $4,500 deposit already paid. He is scheduled for a CT scan soon, which will hopefully provide more answers but the next steps, and associated costs, are still uncertain.
In addition to the medical expenses, Jenn is also covering the cost of an extended Airbnb stay so they can remain close to Dorian while he’s receiving care.
Both Diana and Jenn’s families have been incredibly supportive and have already contributed to Dorian’s care, but as expenses continue to grow, it is not enough to cover the costs already incurred or those expected in the coming week. If you’re able to donate, any amount would be deeply appreciated. Thank you so much for supporting Diana, Jenn, and Dorian during this time. ❤️
