Hi everyone,

My name is Lori, and I’m Debra Savoie’s niece. I’m reaching out on behalf of myself and our entire family to ask for your support for someone who has spent her life supporting others.

Debra has always had a heart for helping. She’s poured her time, energy, and love into fundraising and caring for those in need throughout our community. Now, it’s our turn to give back to her.

In June 2023, Debra had surgery to remove a cyst and part of her kidney, which was later diagnosed as Clear Cell Carcinoma. After many doctor visits and lab tests, our journey led us to MD Anderson. In December 2024, she received another life-altering diagnosis: MDS (Myelodysplastic Syndrome), a type of Leukemia.

Since then, Debra has made countless trips to Houston for testing and consultations. She’s now beginning a more intensive treatment plan that will require extended stays away from home.

Many have asked how they can help as Debra faces this unimaginable journey. We’ve set up this GoFundMe to help ease the financial burden of medical costs, travel, and meals while she's undergoing treatment.
