I hope this message finds you well. I find myself in a challenging situation and, after much consideration, I feel compelled to reach out for help. As some of you may know, I recently underwent emergency abdominal surgery, and during this difficult time, I also faced the unfortunate end of my relationship with my husband (we shared an unofficial ceremony recently). I’m sharing this not to seek sympathy but to provide context for my current financial struggles.

At present, I am unable to work, and while I hope to return to employment soon, the recent tourist season has just begun, which means that work opportunities may be scarce initially. Additionally, I am navigating the process of appealing my Social Security case, which has been a challenging journey due to the less-than-ideal reason for my loss of benefits. I’m committed to getting this resolved as quickly as possible. I also intend to apply for low-income housing assistance, but we all know that these processes can take time.

My father has been generously covering my bills during this difficult period, but I don’t want to keep putting strain on him, especially since he has a lot on his plate financially as well. I am hoping to cover a security deposit for a new place I hope to secure.

I genuinely appreciate any assistance, whether it’s financial contributions or simply your thoughts and prayers during this tough time. Every bit helps, and I am truly grateful to you all.
