Help Family With My Mom’s Final Arrangements
Donation protected
It took a lot of time and thought put into starting this but I think now is the time when help is needed the most.
In February 2021 my mother, Connie, was diagnosed with breast cancer. She had a partial mastectomy a few months later and was living her life cancer free. Over the last 2 months we really saw how quickly lives can be changed.
On April 1, 2024 I took my mom to the ER for shortness of breath and wheezing thinking she had bronchitis or something of the sort. Within days we found out her cancer had returned. It had metastasized to her bones (spine and pelvic bone area) and her lungs. This is causing her lots of pain, having to get her lung drained every few days due to fluid build up, and she needs oxygen 24/7.
Due to how aggressive the cancer is she needed to be treated with strong chemotherapy treatments. She had her first infusion on Friday.
Since her diagnosis in April she has had many appointments to Salisbury, as well as hospital stays. We spend a lot of money for gas within a weeks’ time. My mom is on a very fixed income, and I have had to stop working so I can help take care of her and take her to her appointments.
With any money that is donated, it will be used towards gas, groceries, and anything else she may need due to her chemo treatments such as wigs. I am also in the process of trying to get her a bed so she can stay with me a few days a week if she feels like she needs to.
Money and bills are the last thing I want my mom to worry about right now. She has enough stress as it is, along with being scared for what the future holds.
Any donations will be greatly appreciated. I know everyone is having hard times so even if you cannot donate please share.
Please continue to keep my family in your thoughts and prayers.
