Subject: A Heartfelt Plea for Help – From One Animal Lover to Another 

 Hi, my name is Carley, and for as long as I can remember, my heart has belonged to animals. I’ve dedicated my life to rescuing those in need—mainly dogs and cats, but also small animals who had nowhere else to turn. I’ve done this work mostly on my own, pouring everything I have into giving them a second chance. But right now, I need help. 2024 has been the hardest year yet. Every month has brought new emergencies—vet visits, surgeries, medications—each one necessary but financially overwhelming. The animals I take in often have medical or behavioral challenges, and while I’m honored to help them heal, the weight of it all has taken a toll on me, emotionally, physically, and financially. I’ve had to make one of the hardest decisions of my life—I have shut down rescue intake for a bit. I’ve given everything I have to saving animals, but in the process, I’ve accumulated a significant amount of debt from vet bills and care expenses. As much as I want to continue saving lives, I need to take a step back and focus on the animals already in my care and getting back on my feet. I’m reaching out today with an open heart, asking for your kindness. Donations will help with ongoing medical expenses and daily supplies for the animals still in my care, but they will also go toward paying off the debt I’ve incurred so that I can work toward a more stable future—one where I can afford a bigger home with more land to give these animals the space and comfort they deserve.
