Hello to all as most of you know my beautiful mom has been fighting a courageous battle with Uterine Cancer that was in remission for 3 years, but then sadly returned to her lungs last September. From that point it spread to her brain as well. She has had 2 lobes in her lungs removed that the cancer took over, and then a tumor that spread to her brain removed as well. After rounds of radiation and chemo, a stint with shingles, and staying indoors because of fear of a COVID-19 exposure my mom put on her game face and took it all head on. It hasn’t been easy at all but she’s a rock! We were hopeful a week ago to hear she would once again learn she was healing, and the cancer was under control. She had her routine MRI and devastatingly found out her cancer has spread into her spinal fluid named Leptomeningeal cancer. This news has brought a heartbreaking gut punch to our family. My mom is 66 years old. She deserves more time! Words can’t even begin to explain how shattered we all feel as my mom is our entire world and she is also my very best friend! She doesn’t know I’m doing this. My dad retired early last year to take care of my mom. Get her to needed appointments etc. after retiring from his job he was off maybe a week then started another part time job to help cover unexpected expenses from all cancer debt. that neither of them expected or had planned for in retirement. I’m asked multiple times everyday what can I do to help? I never know what to say. Starting a go fund me has been heavy on my heart for the past 2 days and I have felt an overwhelming pull to write it up. So I’ve prayed and prayed on it as we are never ones to ask for any help. There is nothing I can do to save my mom at this point I’m just praying for a miracle so if I can do anything to help her it is this. So If you can spare a few dollars to relieve a little stress to my parents in this time to continue her brave, courageous battle with this nasty disease I would be forever grateful as I know she will too! As always please continue to pray for my family in these hard days ahead. We all thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
