Hello Friends,

I spent my teenage years in Morocco in the1960’s and return to visit my friends as often as I can. i now live in Richmond, Virginia. I was in Rabat, Morocco earlier in September when the earthquake shook the Southern part of the country, destroying entire brick and clay villages and towns in the region of the Atlas Mountains.

I was staying with my dear friend Majida, who knows people in three villages: Asni, Imlil and Telouet. She is speaking to residents directly to ask what they need immediately to survive in the coming winter months. It is snowy and very cold in the mountains.

She and a couple of women friends will be driving down to take supplies such as warm blankets and whatever else they are requesting at the moment.

Please contribute what you can to help the poor families of Imlil, Asni and Telouet. I will be so grateful to you on their behalf.
