This natural disaster has also effected many Indonesian people on a deep and personal level - this includes Rully Herman, vocalist for the Indonesian band Senyawa. Rully was born and raised in Palu. When the earthquake hit his family was there.
Rully has boarded a Hercules to Palu to find his family and to assist the community in Palu.
When Rully went to Palu, he also packed 10 solar panels in his luggage to give to anyone who may need it. It's a small token but many small gestures can add up to mean whole lot more.
We are a community of artists, we are not a major aid organisation but we are mobile and know many other artists in the Palu community. We can work fast and we can do our bit to ease people's suffering through our small good works.
We ask you for any donations large or small, it doesn't matter how much, so that we can start to help, guerilla style, the people in Palu who have lost so much. The money that you donate will go towards providing solar powered lights that our friends at Lifepatch , an artists hacker collective based in Yogya, have engineered. We will also use the money to purchase food and water and anything that the community in Palu needs.
