Over the past four or so years, the Greensboro, NC mobile bookstore, specializing in writings by and about marginalized voices, radical politics, and peoples' histories, Boomerang Bookshop: Nomad Chapter, has enriched the lives of those in the community as well as that of its primary proprietor. On Valentine's Day 2021, Eartha, the bookmobile that houses the store, found herself unable to engage in the reverse gear and had to be pulled back by a tow service in order to return home, where she remains indefinitely.

In order to address the transmission issues that plague her, I am turning to you, the community of supporters, for some assistance.  The funds raised will be used exclusively for sorely needed automotive repairs to propel this project forward. This shop, and the work it does have given me a true sense of purpose and given the community a unique and vital resource. As a retail venture, I feel ambivalent about asking my supporters for support outside of purchasing my wares, but this is the place I find myself. 

Any amount given will be infinitely appreciated. You will be be helping to sustain a small, black-owned, independent bookseller as well as a unique shop that fosters community cohesion through literacy and stories in a way that few businesses are capable of.
