Help Early Bird Catering Film TV Pilot

My name is Deven, and I’m the owner and chef behind Early Bird Catering in Vermont. I started this company from the ground up, with no outside investors or partners, after more than a decade working my way up in the food industry. My journey began at 16 in fast food, then moved through sandwich shops, corporate restaurants, working in hospitality, and eventually to my first head chef job at 25. Along the way, I completed the Community Kitchen Academy, a local culinary program where we learned professional skills while giving back to the community by preparing meals for the homeless as well as others in need. That experience taught me not just about food, but about the importance of community and supporting others.

After gaining experience as a head chef and running food programs at a local brewery, I launched Early Bird Catering which initially started as a private chef service. Thanks to some big opportunities, including catering for local army bases, I was able to grow the business into a full time job and we secured a brick-and-mortar location within eight months. Now, I’ve been given a chance to take things to the next level: Eat This TV has offered me the opportunity to film a pilot episode for their cooking show series. This is a huge step for me and my business, and I want to use this platform to showcase not only the creative dishes we make at Early Bird Catering, but also the incredible local products and produce Vermont has to offer.

To make this pilot episode happen, I need to cover travel costs, the kitchen rental where they film and prep, and of course the food costs. Eat This TV will provide a prep chef to help streamline the process as well as take care of the production end of things. If the pilot is successful, it could lead to a full series—opening doors to paid episodes, sponsorships, and much-needed recognition for my business. Even just making it to the pilot would mean the world to me, and I’m excited (and a little nervous) to step into the public eye in a new way.
