May 31st 2019 is a day I will never forget. Not only because it was my 21st birthday but because it was the night my father had a stroke. He was rushed to the hospital, but the stroke was so severe it paralyzed him from the neck down. His respiratory system was extremely damaged, so as a result he can't talk or eat on his own. He is currently in ICU at the hospital fighting for his life day by day. They will release him but only if we live in a handicap accessible house, which we do not. We now have to find and finance a new house and break our current lease. He is 100% disable and now has to rely on people to take care of him. He's a fighter and he will overcome this tragedy. There is hope of rehabilitation, but it comes at a costly price that insurance won't cover. He has a lot of fight left in him, he just needs the chance. This hasn't only been an emotional hardship on my family and I but also a financial one. We're in need of hospital bed, motorized wheelchair with neck support, and a lift machine. He was the sole breadwinner of the family working 50 to 70 hours a week just to make ends meet. He's the most hardworking, kindhearted, courageous person I know, and anyone else would have even more positive things to say about him. He always supported me and helped me chase my dreams. Anything I needed help to pay whether it was studio time, music videos, or a photo shoot he was there at a blink of an eye. We are all pulling through as a family to help my dad conquer this traumatizing experience hes endured. Hes a father, a brother, a uncle, a son, a mentor, and most importantly a friend. With your contributions, support, and prayers you will help Earl in his fight to gain his old life back.
